All About The Cookies

How much do your Cookies cost?

Prices vary depending on size, detail, intricacy & complexity of your order. Please see “Cookies” section for more information.

Your cookies look good, but do they taste good too?

So glad you asked! YES! My cookies are made using only high quality ingredients including real butter, pure vanilla extract, milk, flour, sugar, eggs and fresh fruit. So, YES! They do taste as good as they look! 

Do you make gluten-free cookies?

Yes! I can make gluten “friendly” cookies. Keep in mind my kitchen is not a gluten free kitchen, but will make sure cross contamination is avoided to the best of my ability.

Why do you have a minimum for orders?

I am a home bakery, and all orders are made FRESH. Therefore, not to waste ingredients I require a one dozen minimum.

Why are your cookies so expensive? 

Please keep in mind you are not paying just for cookies. You are paying for the skill, time - (designing, baking, clean up, decorating, photographing and packaging) quality and creativity of my artwork as well as the time I work on your cookies, supplies I need ( cookie cutters, ingredients, bags, bakery boxes and bows) and the customization. Prices can be expensive, but a lot of love and care goes into making each cookie. 

Delivery

Do you deliver?

Yes, delivery is available within 60 miles of our home base (we are located in Oakley, CA and service the Bay Area).

*Price of delivery is based on order total. You can contact me, with details regarding your event and I can send you a quote. 

Do you ship you cookies?

Yes! It is now allowed for Cottage Food Licensed bakers! Please note there will be additional shipping fees added to your order.

Ordering

How do I order?

There are 2 ways to order! You can email me at sweetrushbakingco@gmail.com or fill out an inquiry form, in “ORDER HERE.” Either way, I'll need ALL the details regarding your event in order to provide you with a quote. (Date, time, theme, colors, flavors, and any ideas or pictures you have for reference.)

How long will it take for you to get back to me?

I will review your submission and get back to you within 48 - 72 hours. I work part-time, I’m a mom and I am a one man show, so please be patient. 

How early should I place my order?

Custom orders should be placed as soon as you have finalized all the details of your event (colors, theme, design, etc.). I do encourage early ordering. (4-5 weeks advance notice is recommended, but I’d be happy to fit you in whenever my schedule permits.) 

4-5 Week!? Are you crazy!?

Trust me, I am IN BUSINESS to help serve as many customers as humanly possible. HOWEVER, 1. I am HUMAN, and there are only so many hours in the day. 2. I specialize in EDIBLE ART! So generally speaking, people who book with me are usually planning parties/events well ahead of time! (NOT at the last minute.) I would be HONORED to create cookies for you, but don't be mad at me if you wait until the last minute and I am booked. I take all the orders I can fit into my schedule. If I am booked, it just simply means other people DID NOT wait until the last minute and please remember I am a one man show, mom and part-time employee. 

Deposits, Booking and Cancellations

Is a deposit required to place an order?

Yes. I require a non-refundable 50% retainer within 48 hours of receiving invoice for all orders to secure your booking. Remaining balance is due one week prior to pick up/delivery date.

Why is it non-refundable?

Once again, I am a one woman show, mom and part-time Medical Assistant therefore, my availability is limited. So there would be NO WAY to go back and get all of the customers I said NO to, to backfill YOUR SPOT if you decide to cancel your order. Your deposit ensures availability FOR YOU and I manage my schedule based on YOUR ORDER once you book it.

Booking

After we discuss the details of your event and decide on a treats that you like, if you are interested in booking and would like to proceed, I require a non-refundable 50% deposit within 48 hours of receiving invoice for all orders to secure your order. Remaining balance for is due one week prior to agreed pick up/delivery date. The balance and deposit are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE, meaning you can NOT cancel one date and then change it for another.

What forms of payments do you accept?

I accept all major credit cards through my invoicing system. Please note that all payments will incur a 4% transaction fee.

What is your refund/cancellation policy?

A non-refundable retainer 50% is due 48 hours upon order placement. Balance is due in full one week prior to your agreed pick-up/delivery date. If an order is not picked up on the day of event or delivery is denied, the client is still responsible for the full balance of the order. I will make every attempt to contact you in the event of a missed pickup or denied delivery. If a cancellation is made less than one week (7 days) prior to your pick-up/delivery date, the balance is still due in full. 

*Please understand that when you book an order, I decline other orders. If you cancel, that could result in profit lost, just to accommodate your order (obviously, whether you cancel or not). 

In the event of cancellation:

1. All requests for cancellation must be made in writing.

2. If a cancellation is received, your deposit  will not be refundable.

3. If a cancellation is received less than one week prior to the promised delivery/pickup date, the full balance is still the client’s  responsibility.

Caring for Your Cookies

Cookie Care

Cookies are individually heat sealed to preserve freshness for 2-3 weeks. Store at room temperature. Cookies may be frozen up to 6 months in their original packaging or an airtight container. When thawing, allow them to reach room temperature in their packaging or container. NO PEEKING! Condensation can cause color bleeding and ruin your cookies.
